kind of an abstract question

Approximately how quick (in the q-mile) are the Sy/Tys when they get
up into the 500-550hp range? I've been tossing around an idea in my
head about someday building a V8 "Sy" (read: take a 4WD S10, AWD Astro
front spindles, Bravada/AWD Astro transfer case, and slap a V8 in it),
and I think it's a whole lot cheaper to build a 500 hp V8 than it is
to build a 500 hp turbo 6. Thanks for any input, folks.
