Post-turbo exhaust diameter

Hi all,

After looking at a set of stock Syclone manifolds, I can't help 
but wonder if 3" exhaust would really make any difference over 
2-1/2" exhaust.  The diameter of the crossover looks like it's 
about 1/2" smaller than a stock Turbo Regal crossover pipe.  
Curious, since the Syclone engine is a bit larger.

Anyway, my original plan was to make a 3" downpipe from 
the TE60 turbo back to a full 3" exhaust.  Has anyone running 
stock manifolds with a TE series turbo noticed a difference 
by going to 3" exhaust?  If not, I might as well use 2-1/2".

BTW: What is the size of the stock Syclone exhaust pipe?
