     The transfer case will do fine. There is something that you overlooked 
     though. I've seen this done on both sy & ty. The sy worked out ok, but 
     the ty's the extra weight/load lead to a broken ring and pinion. 
     And... DON'T DO HARD LAUNCHES ON A STICKY SURFACE !

     -the viscous coupler takes the brunt of the punishment from driving 
     -without a
     -front propshaft....  it is designed to lock up completely to transfer 
     -torque
     -to one axle or the other but probably not for extended periods of 
     -time....
     -but statistically there is little proof that it will cause damage...

     -for it...   enjoy smoking the tires...  but beware of other cars on
