wired up

I just want to thank everyone who responded to my post "recomended
wires".  It cost me $79.00 for an oil change and a diagnosis already. 
Can the average Joe(no offense to anyone on this list named Joe) do the
wires himself/herself(to be politically correct).  Where is a good place
to go to download procedures.  I just hate spending hard earned money
for someone to plug something in.  I can bolt anything together, I just
don't know if it is the right or wrong way.  $80-100 in labor sucks, not
to mention the $50-70 for parts(1.6 hours labor charge for wires).  What
is really funny is the 1 hour charge for the cap & rotor.  What is with
these trucks?  The cap & rotor are pretty accessable in my opinion. 
Just call me a person who shouldn't be owning one of these rigs, I
guess.
