I will assume you haven't seen an ATR kit. Atr is a dirrect shot in as opposed
to the flexi hose from KB.

<<-it sounds cool, especially with the plastic box resonating>>

Flutter flutter uhmm yup but mine doesn't resonate, but then again my truck
doesn't do jack shit right now.

<<-to try to suck air through the fender and hoping it will be cool enough to

gain hp is BS, imo.>>

You go on to say that its a great improvement over the stock, Uhhm ok. In my
opnion yes it will make a difference. Will it be cooler yes but mainly what
you need is the cfm. Just putting a cone on the end of the pipe makes a
difference on a stock truck in both spool and overall perfromance, but
deleting the over the radiator pipe is needed.

-wheres the sense in having a filter with a surface of approximately 700cm2

of intake area and restricting the actual intake to a hole in that box with

an area of maybe 300cm2?

Atr's box is a larger area than the KB. KB looks it wraps directly around the
filter.

-expecting to get cooler and/or more air by shielding the outer fender from

the engine compartment with flimsy aluminum panels is naive.

Some of us have solved that problem, but just the sheild from either company
is better than nothing.
