Weird fender thingy

Hey everybody...

When I had my drivers side fender apron off yesterday, I saw this "thing" for 
lack of better discription :).  It was actually inside the fender toward the 
front/bottom held on by some steel braces.  Anyway, it was unplugged.  The 
plug is a white connector with two wires coming out of it, so I left it 
unplugged for now.  I couldn't really see it very well so I don't have an idea 
what it really looks like or does.

If anybody knows, please let me know!!
