I got a bit behind on reading my sy-ty digests, but didn't see a response
so I'll chime in.
The only wires you cut are off the old pump, so you can re-use the
connector. The factory wiring harness can remain untouched. If you
don't want to cut the wires on the old pump, I think there was another
post last week about getting the connector from a parts store.

By using the plug off of the old pump, and plugging in to the factory
harness, you have the benefit of having the pump switched on by the stock
relay, running on it's own 10 amp fused circuit.
BTW, I went through two Atwoods in two years, so now I have a Shurflo. I
used the above method of wiring for all pumps.
