Alternator Voltage (was 13.8, now 14.2)

You may remember that my alternator didn't seem to be putting out the correct
voltage and that my in cab meter was reading low.  It took me a while but I
seem to have fixed the problem .
There is a ground wire running from the back of my alternator to the intake
manifold.  I unbolted it from the mainfold and cleaned everything up with a
wire brush.  I then bolted it back to the manifold and lightly coated it with
that stuff they make for your battery terminals that keep them from corroding.
After about 10 minutes of driving the indicator in the cab slowy rose past the
middle line and has stayed there since.  I don't know about this truck
sometimes!
