Good.

Doubtful. I've been running synthetics for a couple of years now (both
drive axles), with no problems. I also use synthetic trans fluid in the
transfer case. I use Mobil 1 synthetic engine oil, but Amsoil synthetic
gear oil and transmission fluid. Mobil 1 engine oil is cheaper than
Amsoil (and easier to get, since Walmart carries it), but the reverse is
true for trans. fluid and gear oil if you shop around. Either brand will
work, and will be much better than non-synthetic. Opinions vary on
synthetics in the transmission, but again I use Amsoil there, and have
over 90,000 miles on the stock transmission. That's more likely due to
other factors (160 degree thermostat, infrequent transmission braking),
but every little bit helps!

Some will say that you don't need it with the synthetics, but I put it in
anyway, just to be safe. Can't hurt.
