I believe the only thing that their mod does is give you the impression of
having six gears.

All they are doing is forcing the tcc to lock up in between 3 and 4  and
then after 4th to create the other two gears.

Nothing special.

Some of the sy/ty guys already do their own version of this, locking the
tcc at the top of 2nd gear.  This gives you a ratio between 2nd and 3rd
gears, helps 1/4 mile times.   Notice, it's not really another "gear".  You
are simply removing the slippage that occurs within the convertor.
