Our trucks have 4L60's not 4L60E's. The 4L60E's are electronically
controlled.

I don't think that you would be any faster. An automatic transmission
only shifts so fast. I think that a fast shifting one takes about 0.1 of
a second.

Most people find that they go faster though the quarter if they leave
the truck in D . I think a few more shifts may slow you down even more.
