Burnt clutch smell?

Howdy,

Every so often, either on the road or when I park my Typhoon, I'll
smell something that smells _exactly_ like burnt clutch (like when my
wife drives a manual-transmission car -- just kidding, she's much better
at it now...). I only get a little whiff of it, but the smell is
unmistakable. The only pattern I've noticed is that it only seems to
make the smell when I perform rapid acceleration (i.e., floor it) with
the air conditioning on.
Is it possible that the A/C compressor clutch is weak or going bad? Or
is the compressor clutch just not capable of holding during rapid
acceleration? Does this happen to other people? Is it normal?
Or is something far more serious going bad, like my transmission? The
truck only has 23,000 miles on it, and is stock except for the
Suspension Techniques anti-sway bar (which, BTW, is _wonderful_). The
transmission, transfer case and differentials were serviced by the
dealer less than 1000 miles ago.

		Thanks for the help,
