Re: Too much fuel pressure?

Cyberdyne Fuel pressure gauge and I'm still having problems. The stock
fuel rail has 1/4 male flare ends, whereas the cyberdyne sender unit has
1/8 male pipe thread. NO ONE (home depot, ACE, etcc..) has an adapter.
ACE called a plumbing supply store and they have nothing of the sort.
The guys at the hardware store then got creative. Using a 1/4 female
flare, a cooper pipe, another female 1/4 flare, a 90 degree 1/4 male
flare to 1/8 male pipe thread, and a 1/8 female to female pipe thread.
THEN my sender unit goes on. Well let's see: we have 6 connections
making for 6 possible leaks. 1st try: put it on, started the Typhoon.
WOO-HOO! We have fuel pressure, Sniff, sniff; Uhhhh, we have fuel. I had
a spray of gasoline going all over the block. Okay, no more Mr. Nice
Guy. I tightened the s&%t out of the contraption and put it back on.
Hmmm, no spray. Did the finger test and came up with a little gas. Went
to put the stock schrader pin back in, did that and then realized I had
misplaced the the cap that goes on the rail. DOH! Loioks like I'm stuck
with this "thing" in my engine compartment until I figure out a way to
fix it. Someone emailed me saying that they used braided fuel line and
fittings. What fittings would those be and how do I get them on the fuel
line? While it's on though, I'm seeing some strange pressures. Idle is
at 47 to 48 psi. I gave it half throttle yesterday and hit 60 psi. I
didn't want to floor it and shoot fuel all over my engine. I have not
made any mods to the fuel system yet. I have an adjustable FPR waiting
to go in, but I want to get this right first. Should I remove a vacuum
line to check the pressure? Is that number normal? Could this explain
why I only get 11.5 mpg in my Ty since the day I bought it? Am I going
crazy? (YES!) Thanks for your time guys. I just don't want to bar-b-q my
Ty.

Josh,
I didn't see your original post but I think I caught the meat of the subject.
If you are trying to hook up your gage to the schraeder valve and cannot
find a match for the connections. NOS sells schraeder valve fittings for
nitrous systems. The schraeder valve is the same one as that on the LT1
Camaro.
If I misunderstood the question due to not seeing the original post, please
forgive me.
