I have run about 4700 RPM flat out in my Typhoon. Foot buried in the
accelerator about 15 lbs of boost. The Mustang beside me said his speedo
ran out at 145. Mustang speedos ar notoriously over optimistic.

Shift governor only changes when the transmission shifts not the actual
gearing. In order to change the mph/rpm you would need to change the
gearing ,either the tranny or rear end.

With the cam and no turbo upgrades , my Typhoon pulls pretty hard to
5000 rpm. I also have a 9 inch stall converter and I see about 4000 rpm
before I see a rise in vehicle speed. So that stock 4200 rpm 1-2 shift
would probably come pretty quick. The shift governor gives it a chance
to wind out. Sean Morris
