The KB chip eliminates the ability of your ECM to retard the timing (and 
stop the knock) when it hears knock.  Knock, sometimes known as detonation, 
is what kills these engines.  Just plain unsafe to use the KB chip - at 
all.  Disclaimer - unless you *always* datalog & find out that you have NO 
knock, ever.  Get a stock chip or Todd/Brian's; vastly better & 
safer.  Engines cost $$$ - I've gone through two in the last year due to 
detonation.
