Welcome, Bill!  I'm also a "new" owner (Sy - 3 years), but have become 
pretty involved w/ the mechanical ins-&-outs of these trucks.  First advice 
is to lose the Pit Bull chip; its lack of knock retard has retired more 
than one engine.  Go back to stock or Todd's chip - see archives.

Leaks in the IC aren't unique or common in these; keep in mind they're 10 
years old or better and leaks (anywhere) depend largely on the maintenance 
they've had.  If original rubber, re-hose everything!  No IC coolant + 
PitBull chip = bad Juju...   If you want to get into "upgrades", there's a 
*ton* of stuff to be done - just a matter of time till the 'more 
horsepower' bug bites.......
