RE: [ISTA] New Bulletin Board

That is a Bulletin Board, this is a Mail List. Different. Some people do not
have full web access or their company does not allow web surfing or it is
monitored. However mails are not scanned or managed as tight. I know what
you are talking about. I have a similar bulletin board system on my web page
http://www.tokyocycling.com but there is a time and a place for everything.

My 2 Cents

Keith has put up a bulletin board on www.syty.net that is a great
example
of how the list should be managed. No policing, subjects are listed in
categories by topic. You click on what you want to read without having your
mailbox full of posts.
I've been on several of these and they seem to work well. Eventually
there will be a search function that allows you to search all past posts you

ignored but now need info on.
For a great example check out www.Corvetteforum.com for how a list
should
work. Buick TR has one too.
If you are tired of all the list police telling you what should or
should
not be list material this is the place for you. FAST has had our own list
for
almost a year now because of all the political correctedness that is on the
SyTy list.
    Enough ranting.
