Re: [ISTA] Hot Shot Relay Install - UGH!!!

Hi Michael,
i resorted to taking the starter out. it takes a bit of doing a
houdini,
but the started does come out. be prepared for about 4X the
frustration,
and it will come out. why oh why did GM do this to us? grumble...

to save some trouble, you could install the summit quick-disconnect
wiring harness for gm starters, part number SUM-810011. i haven't done
this
so i dunno if it will fit, but if i had to do it all over again, i would
of gone this route. i would of also wrapped the wires in some heat
shielding
such as the DEI cool tubes.

also, cross your fingers that the new hot shot relay wires you put in
don't
melt and short out. see Russell Bland's web site for details. (don't
have
the web site handy.)

good luck!
