[ISTA] Vortec Conversion

I just wanted to post an idea and see if anyone
would be interested in doing this. I am currently
adapting a set of Vortec heads using Barry Tisdales
method. If this goes smoothly I will possibly be buying
vortec heads, making the spacers and gasket matching
the heads putting new valves same size as stock and
drilling and tapping the heads for our intakes. There
will be a couple of differences though I am using phenolic
resin for the spacers to cut down on heat transfer to
the intake and will be making a phenolic spacer that
completely covers the bottom of the intake to stop oil
splash and cut down on the heat transfer to the runners,
this will also aid in closing the gap between the intake and
block. I am going to be using Ferrea valves and comp
springs and retainers. This is just an idea at this time and
wanted to know if anyone would be interested in this. The
heads will not flow 270 unless you would want them ported
to that which would cost extra. They will probably flow around
260. The cost will be anywhere from 600 to a 1000 depending
on the work required and parts. Again I just wanted to see if
anyone is interested in this. Thanks for listening.
