Ive been looking at the NP205 for quite awhile. It is the only gear
driven x-fer case out there in ready supply. I have been told by
several semi-reliable sources though that there are two available,
one for GM and one for Ford. Each has the front DS on a different
side. They are not very expensive, and I would really suggest
removing all gears and equipment other than the 1:1. I doubt you
want a low ratio in the sy/ty.
I will be *extremely* interested in how your swap goes, and the
results. Also interesting will be the 4L80 swap. I am not using
that tranny, but it is a significantly longer tranny than the TH400,
and I would love to know how placement of the NP205 works out....

Ok ready for the million dollar question...has anyone actually used
the
NP205 transfer case?? What transmission was this with...the reason I
ask
is because I am currently in the process of switching over to a 4L80e
transmission and a NP205 transfer case...what's the problem you
ask...trans guy is stating that the front driveshaft goes on the
passenger
side and not the drivers side like our trucks :-( CAN I CATCH A BREAK
PLEASE!!!! Okay back to reality...worse comes to worse I will have to
have
the front differential moved over to the passenger side...oh yeah
more
customization :-o anyways enlighten me please....
