You are not alone, I have learned to live with this on my Sy. I can almost
guarantee a swipe if a have my turn signals on and hit a bump. Definitely a
short but I am not willing to perform open heart surgery on my steering
column...

I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced the same strange windshield 
wiper phenomenon I've got on my Sy... Seems that every so often, when I use
my turn signals (left or right, doesn't seem to matter), and occasionally
even when I do nothing, I get one pass of the wipers. It's like I hit the
"mist" switch on the stalk, even though I know for a fact I didn't (and it's
far too stiff to activate accidentally and not realize it). My best guess is
that I've got a short in the steering column, but I haven't been brave
enough to start digging around in there to see.

Has anybody else solved this problem? I know this is a long shot, but then
again, I just fixed my window motor using instructions from a web page I
picked up while lurking here, so who knows? I'd rather not reinvent the
wheel if this is something common that has a published solution.
