My apologies. There hasn’t been much done with SyTy.org for quite some time. As has been promised in the past and is now being promised again. . . Hopefully that is about to change.
I am working on scheduling my time and am looking to put some serious effort into the SyTy related sites that I am currently admin guy for. There is a bit of info locked away in the “old” version of SyTy.org that needs to get transfered to this version. There’s also new tidbits of info over at SyTy.net that needs to find it’s way here for posterity.
Look for a pseudo re-emergence of the ‘webring’ as we work on SyTy.org, SyTySoGT.com and SyTyAuthority.net.
Things are happening! For real this time!
Why yes. Yes it is.
SyTy.org has finally been upgraded to WordPress 3.0.1. Nice. With some improved functionality, look for many more updates in the coming days. You’ll also notice the Gallery has been better integrated.
There’s a lot of info hiding in the old archives of SyTy.org. It’s time to bring it back to the light.
Thanks for hanging in there.
My apologies for the immense lack of updates. I have been extremely busy as part of the SyTy Nationals Planning Committee.
If you have not heard through SyTy.net, the 11th Annual Syclone Typhoon Nationals are coming soon! Please take a moment to visit www.sytynats.com for all of the details!
This year’s event is going to be in Bowling Green, KY • August 7-9, 2009. The hotel is almost full! So make sure to register and book your room right away!
Also, after Nationals, I hope to make a more concerted effort to give this site another overhaul. So stay tuned. We might get this off of Jackstands some day.

First of all, I offer my sincerest and most humble apologies to the owners of the last GMC Typhoon #2200 that was produced. Due to some rash acting on some misinformation, we mistakenly reported their auction as a scam. Again, we are extremely sorry. However, we merely reported on the auction. We here at SyTy.org in no way tampered with the auction itself.
Please understand, the Syclone Typhoon community is a very small, tight-nit community and over the past few years, several owners have been subject to a rash of scammers using legitimate pictures of privately owned trucks to further their interests. With so few of the original number of trucks left on the road today, it’s easy to get carried away when trying to protect our passion.
We apologize for the misunderstanding and in no way meant to detract from the actual owners GMC Typhoon #2200. Please accept our humble apology and good luck with the future sale of the truck. It is a fantastic piece of GM history and whoever the future owner will be, will have something truly special.
I just received an email with these parts for sale. The previous owner passed away and his vehicles were sold. These parts were leftover and are now for sale.
If interested, please EMAIL Kevin.
